This E27 Metal Halide bulb with internal reflector is an optimal light source for diurnal animals (reptiles, amphibians, birds and insects) living in open habitats like deserts and savannas. It can also be used for lighting aquariums.

This lamp produces UVA-light and heat along very intensive Full-Spectrum visible light and it is therefore the best artificial replacement of natural sun. 70W Metal Halide Bulb produces the same amount of UVA-radiation and heat as 160W Mercury Vapor lamp, but the amount of visible light is up to five times larger. In practice, from a distance of 30cm this bulb has lighting power of over 100 000 lux, which equals light intensity of direct sunshine.

The visible color of this Full-Spectrum light is “Daylight” (6000K), which is neutral white. Desert version produces more UVA-radiation than the Jungle version. Flood version is slightly larger (13,8 height *12,1cm diameter) and it is designed to light larger area than the regular Desert Bulb (12,5 height *9,5cm diameter).

NOTE! Metal Halide bulb produces practically no UVB-radiation, hence it can not cause an UV overdose and Metal Halide lighting can be kept on all day long.

NOTE! Although this bulb has a standard E27 base, it can be only used in Metal Halide light unit (Ballast unit) designed for 70W Metal Halide bulbs. The bulb is of a standard design and it can be used in any other E”/ Metal Halide light units of the same power, for example Lucky Reptile Bright Control ja Bright Control PRO.
