Blue Reef fluorescent tube for providing blue light for marine aquariums. This light tube has elevated blue wavelengths that are highlighted in deeper clear waters of natural coral reefs. Blue fluorescent tube can also be used in fresh water aquariums in combination with white tubes when bluish light is desired in order to enhance fish colors; it is very suitable for Malawi and Tanganjika aquariums.

NOTE! Fluorescent tubes are designed to handle certain amount of power. The ballast of a T5 fluorescent light fixture is decisive: TUBE POWER should be SAME or HIGHER than BALLAST POWER. Therefore, 14W T5 light unit can be used with normal 14W (549mm) tubes AND with 24W (549mm) HO (High Output) tubes, but 24W T5 light unit cannot be used with 14W tubes. T5 HO tubes will not give out full lighting potential when used with a ballast rated for the normal T5 tubes, but they will not be harmed by the lower than rated operation power.
