PVC coated heat mats are splash water and humidity proof. They can be used in humid conditions and inside terrariums, assuming that they will not be exposed to any physical damage. This heat mat type is originally designed for heating seeding trays in high humidity greenhouse cultivation, but it is also very suitable for terrarium use.

This heat mat has a moisture proof PVC coating, but it must not be used in wet conditions or submerged in water. The surface of the heat mat is not scratch or puncture proof.
