Fountain head / fountain nozzle for submersible water pumps. Fountain heads are universal and can be used with all water pumps with matching outlet diameters.

As the fountain head – water pump outlet joint is usually underwater and at least within the water container, the joint does not need to be 100% waterproof. As a minor leak does not cause damages and does not effect the fountain performance, fountain nozzle can be usually also fitted to a pump outlet which does not match exactly.

1. If the fountain nozzle internal diameter and the pump outlet external diameter match, the nozzle can be attached to the pump outlet directly.

2. If the fountain nozzle external diameter and the pump outlet external diameter are approximately the same, the nozzle can be attached to the pump outlet by adding a short piece of PVC / garden hose between them.

3. If the fountain nozzle diameter is too big or small for a direct joint or for the hose method, the joint can be sealed by adding a gasket. A custom gasket can be cut from thin rubber sheet (which is sold as a car accessory for making gaskets for engines), from a common duct tape or from a kitchen plastic wrap.
