Sodium (Hydrogen / Bi)Carbonate (NaHCO3) / 1kg
[208.1505]

Food grade Sodium BiCarbonate / Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate (NaHCO3, also known as baking soda) for maintaining and raising KH-level (Alkalinity) in marine aquariums and fresh water aquariums.

NOTE!Sodium BiCarbonate / Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate can be easily converted into SODIUM CARBONATE (Na2CO3, also known as washing soda) by spreading it on a baking tray and heating in an oven at 200°C for about an hour. Heating changes the molecular structure by driving out water and carbon dioxide. Sodium BiCarbonate cannot be overcooked in 200-400°C heat as when all water and carbon dioxide has been extracted, there will be no further reactions in the made Sodium carbonate.

Sodium carbonate can be used to increase aquarium KH-level in a marine aquarium when pH-level is too low (below 8,2 pH), as Sodium carbonate also increases pH along KH. (Sodium BiCarbonate increases KH without raising pH-value, instead it might lower pH slightly).

Sold by weight; 1 piece = 1 kg.
